## What it is
The state licensing office's June 2025 quarterly webinar: pool and water safety, fire waivers, heat, free CDSS trainings, and center application updates.

## 3 things to know
- Pools: besides the enclosure, homes need a safety cover or alarm; centers need a second feature like a cover or alarm. [✓ official source: https://cdss.ca.gov/Portals/9/CCLD/CCP%20Documents/Child%20Care%20Provider%20Webinar%202025%20Q2.pdf#page=14]
- Licensed facilities with a pool need a Coast Guard-approved life ring (17-inch minimum) and 12-foot rescue pole, visible and ready. [✓ official source: https://cdss.ca.gov/Portals/9/CCLD/CCP%20Documents/Child%20Care%20Provider%20Webinar%202025%20Q2.pdf#page=14]
- Never leave children unattended near water: supervise constantly, check covers and fencing daily, and empty wading pools after each use. [✓ official source: https://cdss.ca.gov/Portals/9/CCLD/CCP%20Documents/Child%20Care%20Provider%20Webinar%202025%20Q2.pdf#page=13]
