## What it is
The state licensing office's December 2024 quarterly webinar: new 2024 laws on pools, anaphylaxis and drop-in care, screen time guidance, and free PBS resources.

## 3 things to know
- From January 1, 2025, licensed facilities with in-ground pools must meet pool safety rules: 60-inch enclosure, cover or alarm, rescue gear. - Facilities with pools must check safety features and equipment daily before opening and keep a log for licensing. [✓ official source: https://cdss.ca.gov/Portals/9/CCLD/CCP%20Documents/December%202024%20PW%20PP%20Deck_Accessible%20.pdf#page=15]

## What to do
- If you have an in-ground pool: have a compliant enclosure and gate, a safety cover or pool alarm, a life ring and a rescue pole, and log a daily safety check before opening. [presenter said at 00:05:27, not independently confirmed] [coming January 1, 2028: licensed child care facilities must comply with CDSS's anaphylactic policy, not just have the option to use it.
